BugLock® - Mattress Encasement System
BugLock® is a unique to bed bug safe encasement system for mattresses. The BugLock® zipper is reinforced on all sides. This means that bugs cannot escape, not even if the zipper slips open.
No seams, pockets, or folds for Bed Bugs to hide in!
Bed bugs can hide and lay eggs in seams, pockets, and folds, of the standard mattress protectors, but not in BugLock® encasements! Why? Because these encasements have no seams, pockets, or folds, leaving bed bugs no place to hide.
Miracle Membrane ensures protection!
Our encasements are bed bug bite-proof and escape-proof because the inside of the entire encasement is coated with Miracle Membrane on all six sides! Miracle Membrane is a polyurethane-based product that is bed bug escape-proof and bed bug bite-proof. Most other encasements only use miracle membrane on the top side of the encasement, if they even use it all!
Unique Zipper Design that prevents Bed Bug penetration!
Our encasements have smaller zipper teeth than other encasements. This prevents bed bugs and bed bugs eggs from slipping through the teeth.
Soft and comfortable fabric!
The fabric is smooth, soft and comfortable! These encasements are meant to stay on a mattress for life, and are never supposed to be removed or washed.

What to look for ???
Early bed bug protection is critical to the prevention and management of these parasites. There are many ways to detect the presence of bed bugs within your home. Many times, the first sign of bed bugs are small bites on the body, which look similar to raised red bumps like those that appear from mosquito bites. There may be many bites in one area, such as in a grouping or in a line. The bites will be itchy and are easily misdiagnosed as mosquito bites, chicken pox or a rash. If you notice bites similar to these, further inspection for bed bugs is needed.
First, begin looking around your mattress, bedding and box spring. With large infestations of bed bugs, there are often little brown or near-black dots on the mattress seams, on bedding or on the box spring. There may even be red splotches from a bed bug that has just fed on blood that was shortly thereafter crushed. With the presence of many bed bugs, they become more visible to the human eye. So spotting an actual bed bug is likely, and it will looks like a small, brown, flat, wingless parasite - similar to a tick or small cockroach.

PLEASE NOTE: You must choose a PROTECTOR DEPTH REQUIRED for each protectors. When choosing the depth, please pay particular attention to the CROWNING EFFECT which is the hump in the centre of the mattress. When choosing the depth the thickness of the mattress is from the top of this hump to the bottom of the mattress being measured. If it is closer to the 24cms in the 18-24cms move up a size, as this is the maximum stretch for the shallow depth protector. If you are unsure, please email us and we can choose for you.
